Rockets
Psycho
Psycho was intended as a first liquid rocket flying test bed, but this little beast is still yet to be flown. All plumbing has been completed, with only avionics and recovery needing to be implemented. It is hoped that this will now serve as a static test bed and hopefully fly one day soon. It is of bulkhead and stringer construction with a length of 3m and diameter of 203.2mm and originally intended for a 1334N of thurst (300lbf) lox/kero engine.

Pickering
Pickering is a third generation sub-orbital rocket design that makes extensive use of materials and tooling from around an everyday persons shed, with a budget of $5000. Named after New Zealander William Pickering who famously ran NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory from 1954 to 1976 at the height of the US/Soviet space race. He is an inspiration to every New Zealander and it seems only fair that we name a rocket after him. Our Pickering series of rockets will be hybrids and able to carry a 10kg payload to 100km, with an overall length of 5.5m and diameter of 203.2mm. This rocket will also form a module of our intended N-Prize satellite launcher.

N-Prize Launcher
This is a current work in progress, with details yet to be made public.
Stay tuned to find out more as we progress through our rockets stages
